The following information outlines important policies and safety guidelines for all Sunnies Miyakojima tours.
By completing your reservation, you agree to these terms.
1. Health & Safety
All guests are required to complete a health check and sign a participation waiver on the day of the tour.
If you have any medical conditions, are currently under treatment, are pregnant, or are feeling unwell, you must inform us in advance.
Participation under the influence of alcohol is strictly prohibited. Excessive drinking the night before the tour is also not permitted.
All guests must follow instructions given by the guide and staff at all times.
For safety reasons, we reserve the right to deny participation if we determine that a guest’s physical condition or behavior presents a risk.
2. Participation Requirements
Most tours require a minimum of two participants (excluding photography-only tours).
All participants must be able to understand safety instructions in either Japanese or English.
We reserve the right to refuse participation if safety concerns arise.
3. Our Safety Policy
We operate under a buddy system during all water activities.
A safety float is always deployed during snorkeling sessions, and activities are conducted within a supervised area.
Guests are generally required to wear either a life jacket or a wetsuit for buoyancy.
Free diving, independent action, or removing safety equipment without the guide’s permission is not allowed.
4. Weather & Operational Decisions
Tours may be cancelled or adjusted due to sea conditions or weather.
Final decisions are typically made the evening before or the morning of the tour, and we will contact you directly.
Safety always takes priority. The guide has full authority regarding operational decisions.
5. Photography & Image Use
Photos and videos are taken during the tour and shared via a Google Photos shared album.
For shared tours, all participants’ media will be delivered in a single shared album.
Other guests may appear in your photos, and your images may also be visible to other participants.
All photo and video content remains the property of Sunnies Miyakojima.
We may use selected images for our website or social media.
If you require complete privacy and do not wish to appear in shared albums or promotional materials, please book a private tour.
6. Prohibited Conduct & Refusal of Participation
To ensure everyone’s safety, participation may be refused in the following cases:

Being under the influence of alcohol

Ignoring staff instructions

Engaging in dangerous behavior (unauthorized diving, swimming away from the group, etc.)

Disruptive behavior toward other guests

Failure to disclose relevant medical conditions
If participation is refused due to the above reasons, no refunds will be issued.
